CATRICE REESE, CEO
As a Senior Human Resources and Operations leader, Dr. Catrice Reese connects people, crafts solutions, and elevates experiences. Her work lies at the intersection of people and operations, where she builds robust talent systems and policies and coaches executives on creating efficient, engaging, and equitable processes. Dr. Reese’s goal is to create the conditions for people to perform at their best, while meticulously maximizing organizational resources.
For several years, Dr. Reese led Gradient Learning’s Operations and Employee Experience (HR) team as a founding employee, successfully implementing foundational operations, human resources, and financial structures, achieving 25% annual employment growth. She also guided the organization through its transition from Summit Learning, where she led Operations and Planning. Her tenure has been marked by the creation of sustainable partnerships, the development of talent programs, the negotiation of contracts saving millions of dollars, and the fostering of an engaging 100% remote culture for nearly 100 employees. Before transitioning to the EdTech nonprofit sector, Dr. Reese held senior leadership roles in Higher Education, and worked in the banking and legal fields, bringing a diverse and comprehensive perspective to the work.
